Who we are

Mackenzie Country Contracting is an innovative company based in the Lower South Island. We offer a variety of services including weed and pest control, and have a strong focus on environmental conservation. Currently, we have ongoing contracts with both ECAN and DOC, are part of the Wilding Pine programme as well as the Te Manahuna Aoraki project.

The culture of Mackenzie Country Contracting is to maintain a strong team environment where everyone feels valued and supported. We focus on employing staff that have a genuine interest in conservation and the general wellbeing of Aotearoa’s natural environment.  Our team have a multitude of additional skills – mechanical, building, administration, health and safety management, and forestry. We encourage our staff to learn about native flora and fauna, and we are actively upskilling our staff though different training pathways. 

Here at Mackenzie Country Contracting we are actively pursuing new projects and challenges in the conservation industry, investing in specialised staff and resources to expand into other conservation projects throughout New Zealand. One of our core values is to contribute to the betterment of New Zealand’s environment which will enable all to experience all the unique natural beauty that our country has to offer.
